Front Porch Properties is a boutique design & construction company founded in 2014 by licensed builder and designer, Rachael Turner, specialising in ‘modern-classic homes with storybook charm’.
Front Porch Doors began from a simple frustration - Rachael couldn’t find beautiful, classic doors for her projects that didn’t cost a fortune.
So she created them.
First for her homes… then a shop followed.

MEET RACHAEL
Originally trained as a classical pianist, Rachael completed a Bachelor of Music in Piano at the Queensland Conservatorium in 2005 and ran a music school for ten years.
While music was an important chapter, she felt increasingly drawn toward building and design — an interest she had carried since childhood.
What began as renovating and flipping homes soon gained recognition. Her early projects were featured in leading Australian design magazines, and enquiries quickly followed.
After five years working toward her builder’s licence, she established Front Porch Properties as a full design and construction company.

Founded by Rachael, an award-winning Brisbane builder, our door shop was created to solve a problem she experienced firsthand—finding beautiful, well-made doors at a reasonable price.
After years of sourcing doors for her own building projects and facing limited options outside of expensive custom work, she set out to create a carefully curated range of high-quality internal and external doors that balance timeless design, craftsmanship, and affordability.
From welcoming front doors to refined internal styles, each piece is selected to bring warmth, character, and lasting appeal to every home.
