Before and After

Meet our Founder
Front Porch Doors was founded by Rachael, a licensed builder and the founder of construction company Front Porch Properties. After years in the renovation industry, Rachael noticed a gap in the market, it was near impossible to find beautiful, classic doors without paying custom prices or waiting months.
Frustrated by limited options and high costs, she decided to create her own solution. That’s how Front Porch Doors was born, a curated collection of classic, farmhouse-inspired doors designed to suit both new builds and renovations, inside and out.
In 2023, Rachael was awarded the HIA Building Women’s Award for ‘Achievement in Manufacture and Supply’ - recognition for her dedication to quality and innovation, even while the business was still new. It’s a reflection of her hands-on experience, eye for design, and commitment to helping homeowners and builders find doors they actually love.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get a custom size?
Absolutely. We custom-sized doors. Just send us your measurements and send it to Eddy, our door warehouse manager, at doors@frontporchproperties.com.au
Can your doors be cut down?
Yes! To avoid needing a custom size, our tip is to order the next size up and trim it down if needed. We recommend trimming a little from both sides.
Here’s a quick guide:
Internal doors → can be trimmed up to 10mm each side. (Trimming more may effect lock fitment)
External doors → top rail can be trimmed up to 30mm, bottom rail up to 40mm; from the sides, up to 10mm (trimming more may effect lock fitment.)
Special external doors (like 2100mm height) → can often be trimmed down even more.
What timber is the Ivy Willow made from?
Our Ivy Willow door is made with Meranti timber - strong, durable, and made to last.
What glass options are available?
Reeded, clear, and cathedral glass are our top sellers, but we know there's a whole lot of glass options out there. If you have a specific glass in mind, feel free to send Eddy an email at doors@frontporchproperties.com.au.
Can I paint or stain the door?
Yes. If you want to stain, we recommend the raw timber finish. If you’re painting, go with pre-primed to save time.
Can I use the Ivy Willow as an internal door?
You can - it makes a beautiful statement piece inside too, especially for pantries or barn-style tracks.
Can I pick up instead of delivery?
In most cases, yes. If you’re near our workshop or warehouse, just contact us to arrange pickup.
