Why our doors cost less and are built better

Our doors cost less. It's built into the ethos of our business.

In my early years as a builder, I wanted beautiful doors that would add charm and character to the homes we were building, but there weren’t any!

I paid thousands to have doors custom designed and built, more than once, just to get the look and quality I wanted.

Below are three of my earlier build projects where I paid a premium for custom made doors and when I started to realise there was a gap in the market...

I first designed this door and paid thousands for it.

It's now called the Molly, available off-the-shelf at a fraction of the price.

I designed this door below and had it built, paying thousands for it at the time.

It's now available off-the-shelf from our online store, called the Ulmarrah.

The door below is a bit more contemporary, without the glazing bars.

I paid thousands for it at the time, now available off-the-shelf as the Oaklands One Lite.

Affordable designer doors didn't exist.

There was simply a gap in the market so I filled it, making designer doors without the designer price tag, for everyday Australians.

We run lean, so you don't pay for things that don't matter

Keeping doors affordable is part of how we operate, not an afterthought.

That means:

✓ One warehouse, not a chain of expensive showrooms

✓ No middlemen or joiners adding their own markup

✓ No fancy packaging you end up throwing away anyway

✓ Just better value doors, with the savings passed straight to you

Not only are our doors cheaper, they're built better

Our doors are built using traditional engineered stile and rail construction — real structural framing, the same method proper joinery uses.

Compare that to a lot of competitor doors, which are just a flat slab with a routed detail cut into it to look like a panelled door.

Ours are actually built the traditional way and they cost less.

So you're getting a better built door, at a lower price.

That's the whole point.
